Option 1: through the plugin (recommended)
- Install the Metrara plugin and connect it with a pairing code. See WordPress: install the Metrara plugin.
- When WooCommerce is active, the plugin creates read-only WooCommerce keys automatically.
- In Metrara, the WordPress block shows WooCommerce keys were included.
That's it.
Option 2: with your own keys (client users)
Client users can paste WooCommerce keys under Connections.
- In WordPress, go to WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API.
- Click Add key.
- Enter a description, for example "Metrara", and set Permissions to Read.
- Click Generate API key.
- Copy the Consumer key and the Consumer secret. The secret is shown only once.
- In Metrara, open Connections, paste both in the WooCommerce block and click Save for each.
What you see after connecting
- Metrics: revenue and orders, compared with last year.
- E-commerce: Overview, Categories, Products, Clients (new and returning customers) and Checkout (discount codes, payment and shipping methods).
- Profit: revenue minus costs.
Metrara fetches up to two years of order history in the background.
Good to know
Metrara only counts orders that are paid or completed. Canceled, failed and fully refunded orders are left out of revenue.
Customer names and email addresses stay in your shop. Metrara uses a coded customer number to tell new from returning customers.
