Delete your account

Deleting your account cancels the subscription and closes the account for everyone in it.

On this page

You have 90 days to change your mind before everything is permanently deleted.

1. Who can delete the account

Only the account owner can delete the account. Admins, staff members and client users do not see this option.

2. Delete your account

  1. Click your account icon at the top right and choose Settings.
  2. Open Security.
  3. Under Delete account, click Delete account….
  4. Optionally fill in Why are you leaving? (optional).
  5. Type the confirmation word shown in the field label (Type DELETE to confirm).
  6. Click Yes, delete my account.

You are logged out and see Your account has been closed and will be deleted in 90 days. Sign in to restore it.

If the subscription cannot be stopped with the payment provider, the deletion does not go through and you see an error. Try again.

3. What happens right away

  • Your subscription is canceled and direct debit stops. See Cancel your subscription.
  • The account is closed for everyone in it: your team and your client users.
  • Anyone who signs in sees This account has been closed with the date on which it will be permanently deleted.

4. Restore within 90 days

  • Log in as the account owner.
  • Click Restore account.

Everything is back as you left it: businesses, connections, keywords, tasks and reports. Restoring does not restart your subscription. To start paying again, choose a plan under Settings › Subscription. See Change your plan.

5. What is deleted after 90 days

After 90 days everything is permanently deleted:

  • all businesses and their data, figures, tasks, reports and settings;
  • all connections and the stored access to your sources;
  • your clients, team members and their logins, unless a login also belongs to another Metrara account;
  • your subscription details, credits and affiliate data.

Invoices and payment records are kept, because they must be retained for accounting.

6. Google access

Deleting your account removes the stored connection to Google in Metrara. You can also disconnect Google yourself before you delete the account. See Google.
