Connect your calendar

Connect your own calendar to see your appointments next to your tasks in the Calendar and Planning tabs. Your calendar is personal: only you see it, never a colleague or client.

On this page

1. Before you start

  • Connecting a calendar is available to account owners and admins.
  • You need an iCal address or CalDAV login, depending on your calendar.

2. Connect

  1. Click your account icon at the top right and choose Settings.
  2. Open General, Calendar.
  3. Click Connect a calendar and choose your calendar: Apple iCloud, Google Calendar, Outlook, Nextcloud, Fastmail or Other CalDAV.
  4. Give it a Name, for example "Work".
  5. Fill in the details for your calendar (see below).
  6. Click Connect and test.

3. Google Calendar

  1. Open Google Calendar on a computer and go to Settings.
  2. Choose your calendar and scroll to Integrate calendar.
  3. Copy the Secret address in iCal format.
  4. Paste it in iCal address in Metrara.

This address is read-only; nobody can change your calendar with it.

4. Outlook

  1. In Outlook on the web, go to Settings, Calendar, Shared calendars.
  2. Under Publish a calendar, choose your calendar and Can view all details.
  3. Copy the ICS link and paste it in iCal address in Metrara.

5. Apple iCloud

  1. Go to account.apple.com, Sign-In and Security, App-Specific Passwords.
  2. Create an app-specific password for Metrara.
  3. In Metrara, enter your Apple ID and this App-specific password.

Your normal Apple password doesn't work here and is never needed.

6. Nextcloud, Fastmail and other CalDAV

Enter your server's CalDAV address, your Username or email and an App-specific password. For Nextcloud the address is https://yourserver/remote.php/dav.

7. Remove a calendar

In Settings, Calendar, click Remove connection next to the calendar.
