Actions, AI and credits problems

This page covers messages you see when an action, an AI feature or your credits cause a problem. Find the message and follow the steps.

On this page

1. "You are out of analysis credits. Top up your balance in Settings."

The action costs more credits than you have left. Nothing was started and nothing was deducted.

You are an admin of the account:

  1. Go to Settings, Subscription, block Analysis credits.
  2. Click Top up and choose a bundle.
  3. Or wait for your 30 monthly credits at the start of the next calendar month.

You are a client user on own credits:

  1. Go to Settings, Analysis credits.
  2. Buy a bundle. There is no monthly allowance for own credits.

2. "You have reached the monthly credit limit your agency set for you."

You are a client user on agency credits, and the monthly limit is used up. You can't top up yourself.

  1. Check Settings, Analysis credits. You see Your agency provides … credits per month. What you see here is what is left this month.
  2. Wait until the next calendar month, or ask your agency to raise the limit.

Agencies change a client's limit under Manage, Visible to the client, Credits for this client group, next to At most. See Credits.

3. "The credits could not be charged right now."

Charging the credits failed for a technical reason. Nothing was charged and the action did not start. Try again in a moment.

4. An action failed after the credits were charged

Credits are charged when you click. When a report, an ad, Google Ads opportunities or the top 10 terms still fail afterwards, the credits are refunded automatically. The message then says so, for example Your credit has been refunded.

  1. Check your balance under Settings, Subscription, Analysis credits.
  2. Fix the cause in the message before you try again.
  3. Contact support if credits were charged for an action that gave no result and were not refunded. See Contact support.

5. A client user can't run actions

A client user only sees the Actions tab when you allowed it for their client. On SEA, Write ad they otherwise see Your agency writes ads and looks for opportunities for you. Ask your agency if you want to use this yourself.

  1. Go to Manage, choose the business and open Visible to the client.
  2. Under Client may run actions, check Actions available to this client.
  3. Choose whose credits are used and click Save changes.

See What your client sees.

6. A team member can't run actions

Team members with the role Team member don't see Actions and spend no credits. This is by design.

  1. Go to Manage › Team.
  2. Give the person the role admin if they should run actions.

7. "There are not enough figures yet to derive tasks from."

To-dos are built from your own figures. The section has no connected source yet or too little data.

  1. Connect the source for that section, for example Search Console for SEO or Google Ads for SEA.
  2. Wait until figures have come in. See My figures are missing.
  3. Click Build my to-do again.

8. "Your tasks were just compiled. You can rebuild them in an hour."

You can rebuild the to-dos of a section once per hour. The figures don't change within the hour.

  1. Work with the current to-dos.
  2. Click Rebuild again after an hour.

See To-dos.

9. "The answer was not usable. Please try again shortly."

The AI returned an answer Metrara couldn't read. This happens rarely and is not a problem with your data. Building to-dos costs no credits.

  1. Wait a minute.
  2. Click Build my to-do or Rebuild again.

10. "No AI key configured." or "The AI key is not set."

  1. Try again later.
  2. If it persists, contact support.

11. Writing a blog fails

  1. Click 4. Write the blog again.
  2. If it keeps failing, shorten your notes and try again.

12. "The top 10 could not be read (sites block reading or there are no results)."

2. Terms of the top 10 couldn't read any of the top pages for this keyword. Some sites block automated reading, and a very rare keyword can have no results.

  1. Skip this step and write the blog without it. Step 2 is optional.
  2. Or try a broader keyword.

  2. Or pick a page from the suggestions in the field.

  2. Fill in the website address and save.
  3. Click Find images without alt text again.

Credits for alt text are only deducted when images without alt text are found. See Alt text.

20. "The search failed. Please try again."

The alt text search couldn't read the pages. The site may be slow or block automated visits.

  1. Check that your website is online.
  2. Try again later.

21. "No Search Console property is connected to this business yet."

The index check reads Search Console. Without it, the check can't start.

  1. Connect Search Console under Manage, Access keys. Client users use Connections.
  2. Choose the Search Console site and click Save and fetch figures.
  3. Open Actions, Index check and click Check again.

See Index check and Google Analytics and Search Console problems.

22. "There are no pages on the map yet. Load the sitemap first."

The index check needs the list of pages of your site.

  1. Open SEO and click Load sitemap.
  2. Run the index check again.

23. "The check failed."

Something went wrong while asking Google. The index check costs no credits.

  1. Pick a period in which the business has data.
  2. Check that the sources are connected. See My figures are missing.

The same applies to There are days in …, but without usable figures. For a combined report you see No figures found for … at the chosen companies.

25. Monthly report: "The report came back empty. Please try again." or "Writing the report failed."

The AI didn't return a usable report.
