A tour of the dashboard

The dashboard has a bar at the top, a menu on the left and the page itself in the middle. Here is what you find where.

On this page

1. The bar at the top

  1. Business switcher: choose which business you are looking at.
  2. Day / Night: switch between light and dark mode.
  3. Privacy: hides revenue and cost figures, for when you share your screen.
  4. Marketing news and Manage: news about Google and marketing, and the place where you manage your businesses and connections.
  5. Your account (the round icon): Settings, your credit balance with Top up, and Log out.

2. The menu on the left

  • Home gives an overview of all your businesses. If you only have one business, you go straight to its dashboard.
  • The tabs of the chosen business, such as Metrics, SEO and E-commerce.
  • The sub-menu: many tabs have sections. SEO, for example, has Keywords, Pages and Insights. The sub-menu opens next to the menu.

3. The period bar

On tabs with figures you see a bar above the page:

  • Refresh figures: fetches all sources of this business again.
  • Period: last 7, 14, 28 or 90 days. The choice applies to all tabs.
  • Compare with: nothing, the period before, or the same period last year.

4. On mobile and tablet

On a phone or tablet the menu sits behind the menu button at the top left. Tap the business name at the top to switch businesses. The period bar fits on one line; tap the period to change it.
