Choose what your client sees

Per business you decide which tabs client users see, which emails they receive and whether they can run actions. You set this in Manage under Visible to the client.

On this page

1. General

Open the settings

  • Click Manage and choose the business.
  • Open Visible to the client.

Tabs for the client

  • Under Tabs for the client, click a tab to turn it on or off. Dark tabs are visible to the client.
  • Click Save changes.

If you check nothing, the client sees the default set: Metrics, Goals, E-commerce, CRO, SEO, SEA, Social media, Audit, Backlinks, Competitors, Optimizations, Campaigns, Email and Tasks.

Good to know:

  • A client only sees a tab that is also on for the business itself. A gray tab is off; enable it under Tabs first.
  • The figures are read-only. In Tasks you and your client can both add tasks. This costs no credits.
  • Some agency tools within SEO and Email stay hidden for client users.
  • Profit, Clients, Calendar and Planning are never shown to a client.

A client user always gets Connections, to connect their own sources, and Reports once you share a report.

2. Weekly briefing and alerts

By default the weekly briefing and alerts go only to you. The briefing arrives every Monday with the week's status. An alert is a separate email on a clear deviation, such as revenue or visitors far below average or ads without conversions.

  • Under Weekly briefing and alerts to the client, check Weekly briefing also to this company's client users, Alerts also to this company's client users, or both.
  • Click Save changes.

3. Client may run actions

Turn this on if your client wants to create blogs, ads and alt text themselves.

  1. Under Client may run actions, check Actions available to this client.
  2. Choose whose credits are used under Credits for this client group:
    1. Own credits: the client buys bundles, your balance stays yours
    2. Agency credits: the client's actions are deducted from your balance
  3. With agency credits, optionally set a limit next to At most, in credits per month. Empty means no maximum.
  4. Click Save changes.

The client then sees the Actions tab. The credit choice is saved right away and applies to all businesses of this client.

With agency credits, the client sees that their actions come from your balance and, with a limit, how much is left this month. You follow the usage under Settings, Subscription and credits, in Where your credits go, per client. See Credits.

4. Who may view this?

At the bottom of the same screen you invite client users and remove access. See Invite client users.

5. What your client sees

  • Home with a greeting and the cards of their own businesses.
  • The menu with the tabs you chose, plus Connections and, once shared, Reports.
  • On the first visit, Metri opens with a welcome. It explains that this is the dashboard your agency keeps for the client, lists the tabs in the menu and says that changes go through you.
  • With your own branding, your agency logo at the top. See Your branding.
