Tasks

Tasks is the to-do list per business.

On this page

Organize tasks in projects, assign them to team members and follow them on a board.

1. Add a task

  1. Click New task.
  2. Fill in the Name, and optionally a Start date, Deadline, Priority, Project and Description.
  3. Choose Labels and who it is Assigned to, if you use them.
  4. Click Add.

Or type a task directly at the bottom of a project with Add a task to this project.

2. Projects

Group tasks in projects with New project. Per project you can:

  • set a Color and who is Responsible;
  • link it to a Goal, so the goal shows the progress of its tasks;
  • drag projects to change their order.

Tasks without a project are listed under Other.

3. List and board

  • List: tasks per project. Click a column to sort, drag a row to change the order and tick a task off when done.
  • Board: four columns, To do, In progress, Waiting and Done. Drag a card to change its status.

Use Filter to filter by priority, status, label or team member, and search by name or description.

4. Open a task

Click a task to open it. You can:

  • change the Status, Labels and who it is Assigned to;
  • add Subtasks;
  • log time under Time, or click Start timer;
  • write Comments. Type @name to email a team member;
  • add Attachments (up to 25 MB per file);
  • set Repeat: a recurring task comes back with a new deadline when you tick it off.

5. Team members and labels

  • Team members: add the people you assign tasks to. With an email address they get an email when a task is assigned or when they are mentioned. See Agencies and teams for giving team members access.
  • Labels: create colored labels to group tasks across projects.

6. Good to know

Tasks with a deadline or start date also appear on Home and in the Calendar.
