See how you compare with your competitors

On this page

See how you compare with your competitors: their authority, traffic, keywords, best pages, ads and links. Most checks are fetched when you click and cost 1 credit.

1. Competitor list

Start by adding your competitors. The list is also used by Audit and AI visibility.

  • Let Metri find competitors: Metri suggests five to eight competitors based on your business (1 credit). Tick the ones you want and click Add.
  • Add one yourself: type the domain and optionally a name, and click Add. Free.
  • Find by shared keywords: domains that rank for the same keywords as you (1 credit). Click Save to list to add one.

Click Analyze next to a competitor to see how many products, categories and blog posts they have and how often they publish (1 credit).

2. Comparison

Enter your site and one or more competitors and click Compare to see domain rank, backlinks and referring domains side by side (1 credit). After two comparisons, Trend shows the development.

3. Traffic

Fetch the estimate shows the estimated monthly organic visits and number of keywords for all competitors and your own site (1 credit).

4. Keywords

Choose a competitor and click Fetch keywords to see which keywords they rank for, with position, change, search volume and page (1 credit).

5. Top pages

Which pages bring a competitor its organic traffic, with estimated traffic and keywords per page (1 credit).

6. Ads

Under Google, enter a competitor's domain and click Fetch ads to see which Google search ads they run, since when and whether they are still running (1 credit). Ads without a preview are listed separately with a link to view them at Google.

7. Link movement

How many links a competitor gained and lost per month (1 credit).

8. Keyword gap

Enter your site and a competitor and click Calculate the gap. You see the keywords where the competitor ranks while you rank much lower or not at all: topics to write about (1 credit).

9. Link opportunities

Enter your site and a competitor and click Find link opportunities. You see domains that link to the competitor but not yet to you: the sites to approach for a backlink (1 credit).

Most competitor checks are available to agency users.
